Hello,
I am Javi. I am a professor, a scientist and a daddy among many others (yogui, musician, chess player…).
I am passionated about the application of data science and artificial intelligence to any domain. So far, I’ve been mostly working at Intelligent Transportation Systems, but I am also exploring other exciting domains.
My higher level research keywords are Intelligent Transportation Systems, Data Mining, Data Stream Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Evolutionary Computing, Cellular Automata, Pattern Mining, Sentiment Analysis, Deep Learning, Traffic Modelling, Intelligent Vehicles, Predictive Modelling, etc.

Regarding my education, I am Bachelor degree (1998) and Masters degree (2001) engineer on Telecomunications, and Doctor (Ph.D. 2008). I has worked as professor at my alma mater University (University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain) in several possitions, now currently serving as Associate Professor (Profesor Titular de Universidad), since December 2020.
My personal interests include Astronomy, Chess, Music (almost every kind), Nature, Yoga, Hiking, Travelling, Japan, etc.
